1/16/2010 - Survival Care Packages
Volunteers at VestreMar Global are putting together survival care packages to ship to victims of Haiti's devastating earthquake. A care package can help a family of 6 to 8 survive for about a month. The packages will comprise of basic toiletries, blanket, towel, flashlight and other essential items. In addition, a personal message of hope written in the native language (kreyol) will be attached to let the family know that they are in our thoughts and that we care.
1/14/2010 - Haiti Earthquake
Port-au-Prince, Haiti was recently devastated by an earthquake measuring 7.0 on the magnitude scale. The totality of the horrors of this tragedy is yet to be measured. Relief efforts have been pouring into Haiti from all over the world. Although communication is currently difficult, the infrastructure has crumbled, the people of Haiti are in mourning, there is still hope for Haiti. They need our help for basic necessities and to rebuild their lives.
